Gympie Private Hospital
Pulse Health confirms the Bruce Highway road closures to the North and the South of Gympie compromising access to the hospital for some surgeons and staff are now resolved and the hospital returns to full operational capacity.
The hospital's physical location ensured its protection from the floods and any planned operations affected during this time were re-scheduled to the satisfaction of all parties.

South Burnett Private Hospital
South Burnett Private Hospital in the township of Kingaroy has not been operationally impacted due to some road closures as a result of the floods in Queensland and no surgery lists have been affected. Roads have been re-opened and all services continue to be available.

With the Queensland floods responsible for significant devastation and loss of life across
Queensland, Pulse provides the following update with respect to its Queensland Hospitals.
The Queensland hospitals operated by Pulse Health Limited account for approximately 20% of
Pulse Health Limited's total revenues.
Gympie Private Hospital
The hospital's physical position on high ground has thus far assured it protection from the risk of
flooding. The hospital remains open to patient admissions with a strong compliment of nursing
and medical cover meeting the needs of the community in which it serves.
Bruce Highway road closures to the north and the south of the town has resulted in some
surgeons and staff not being able to access the hospital.
The situation is currently reviewed daily and as applicable, planned operations will be
rescheduled and patients kept informed. If you have any concerns as to your attendance at the

Gympie Private Hospital collaboratively works with the Public Hospital sector and local
community care groups and is well placed to support these sectors with agreements in place.

South Burnett Private Hospital
South Burnett Private Hospital in the township of Kingaroy continues to experience access issues
by some personnel as a direct result of road closures. The hospital remains open and fully
operational however with a strong compliment of nursing and medical cover and additional
capacity to accept patient admissions.
To date, no surgery lists have been affected and all services remain available. The nursing
personnel are to be congratulated on their dedication to duty and their strong patient
care focus during these difficult times.
